Before I went to the music festival Uzlet, which I wrote about in my previous post, I walked through the streets of Cacak, an old and beautiful city in Serbia. It was not my first visit to this city. I have been there many times when I was a child, but the city has changed a bit since then, so it was interesting for me to walk through its streets again.
What hasn't changed are the old buildings that have been preserved for years. The architecture of Cacak is really impressive, it combines modern and old styles from different periods of the past.
The streets are very clean and tidy, so at times I felt like I was walking in a world metropolis. 😊
In the center of the city is the imposing Saint Ascension Church, which dates back to the 12th century and is an important cultural monument of this city and Serbia. It was built on the highest point of the city so that there would be no risk that the West Morava river, which flows through the city, could flood the temple.
Across the street from the church is the National museum, which unfortunately was closed when we arrived.
But on some next occasion we will definitely visit this museum because it has exhibits from all periods of humanity, prehistory, antiquity and the Middle Ages.
But next to the museum we saw something really worth seeing. It is an archaeological site from the 4th-5th century AD. The Late Antique Roman Fort.
I came closer and admired the incredible discovery of the fortress under the ground we are now walking on.
We continued our walk towards the city center and felt the free spirit and positive vibes of this city where people seem quite energetic, loud and warm.
Children drive little cars in the spacious square and act more freely than the children of my city, Belgrade. Each child moves the car in different directions and everything seems chaotic and so harmonious at the same time. It was interesting to watch them. 😊
We continued our walk along the quay next to the West Morava River.
The festival we went to was held in a park by the river, so we took the opportunity to walk around this beautiful area.
It was very soothing and pleasant to walk by the river and that is the highlight of our stay in Cacak, besides the great atmosphere at the festival. We will be back there, for sure. 😊
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.

Hello Misses and welcome. Are you new to these blockchains? Did you know blurt is forked from steemit.com? And its sister chain to HIVE that was also forked from steemit?
Steemit is where all of this started. Despite it's shady starting history, these blockchains provide a means to speak freely and publish whatever you want.
I been around since it all began almost and have been mostly caught up on almost all of its developments for the last 7 years i have been active.
I sent you some blurt to keep you able to participate in engagement. I wouldn't vote on anything yet since everything we do requires a fee that is extracted from your wallet. All blurt to pay fees are burned-out of existence to the null account. I would wait to have adequate amount of BP to cover the cost of your vote. But to each their own. Regardless, leave a good comment o others posts, engage or reply in your own feed is good too.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Hope to hear from your mind.
If you need anything, just ask.
