Russian propaganda literally announces the destruction of Kherson like other cities that the Russians are bombing and shelling. Fantasies about blowing up the Kakhovskaya HPP can remain only fantasies, the purpose of which is to legend the evacuation. After all, why evacuate people to the left bank, which may be flooded, if this flooding is considered likely?
At the same time, this evacuation itself is an absolute fiction for a TV show to then tell the population of the Russian Federation that they did everything to save civilians. The announced 50-60 thousand not only cannot be called the complete removal of the entire population. Most likely, this quantity will not be exported. In the best case, several thousand active collaborators will be taken somewhere to the regions of the Russian Federation. At worst, they will be thrown somewhere in the area of Holaya Prystan and Oleshok.
But the bombing of the city by the Russians is quite likely. The constant comparison of Kherson with Mariupol by Russian propagandists is disturbing. Moreover, there is no practical benefit for the Russians in bombing the city. The Russians have already decided to retreat to the left bank of the Dnieper, which is also being actively talked about. And the advancing Ukrainian army will not destroy the city, just as it did not destroy the cities of Kharkiv region. Senseless destruction is a completely political decision of the top leadership of the Russian Federation and Putin personally.
