convicted tik toker
After making a video that was allegedly offensive to President Yoweri Museveni, a 21-year-old Ugandan TikToker was sentenced to prison, becoming the most recent to do so.
Emmanuel Nabugodi entered a guilty plea to four charges last week, including distributing disinformation about the president and engaging in hate speech. He showed up for the sentencing on Monday.
After being found guilty , he was convicted and imprisoned for 32 months.
Nabugodi, who is well-known for posting humorous content to his 20,000 followers, produced a movie about a fictitious trial of the head of state. In it, he demanded that Museveni be publicly whipped.

Civil rights groups has spoken out on how displeased they are on how the nation has been limited in free speech, they were of the belief that the president is someone who doesn't accept criticism.
Situation like this is not the first of its kind as sometime in july , another Tik toker was given a six years jail term for insulting the president , his wife , and son . We hope that the civil rights groups achieve their aim in stopping situations like this.
