Last week, the Nigerian military acknowledged the deaths of 140 suspected terrorists and violent kidnappers during activities targeting Boko Haram, the Daesh-linked Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), and numerous criminal gangs.
As reported by Nigerian Defence Headquarters spokesperson Edward Buba, the attacks targeted sites throughout different regions of Nigeria. Buba gave the latest news at the military's weekly session on Thursday.
During these operations, 135 additional suspects were apprehended, and 76 victims kidnapped for money were safely released.
