The Department of Investigation of the Libya Stability Support Agency recently detained six Nigerians, one of whom is a man and five of whom are women, on suspicion of trafficking drugs.
Significant amounts of cocaine, ready for distribution, were discovered in the defendants' possession.
The illegal substance which was discovered has been handed over to authorities to conduct further examination on it, the operation which led to the seizure of the substance is part of an orchestrated operation by the Libyan Government in the capital of the country.
The suspects were transferred to the public prosecutors for legal action, according to a statement released by Migrant Rescue Watch on Monday, which verified the detentions.
