At a press conference regarding the return to normal of Haiti's largest public hospital, armed men opened fire on journalists, police, and medical personnel, killing at least three people.
The incident that occurred in the general hospital within the capital Port-au-Prince on Tuesday apparently resulted in the shooting deaths of two journalists and a police officer, while other people were injured.
The property was said to have been taken over and demolished by gangs, But was later recovered and retaken by the Haitian government some time around July 2024.
The majority of the city is controlled by the Viv Ansanm criminal alliance, which has admitted to the attack.
