A rescue and recovery mission off the shore of the eastern Greek island of Samos discovered the corpses of two persons who had been identified missing yesterday after a boat carrying 24 migrants got stuck in heavy weather, the coast guard said Monday.
Authorities claimed they got a distress call from the vessel's occupants, and a Coast Guard patrol boat spotted it semi-submerged north of Samos. Twenty-two people were recovered, and survivors called the Coast Guard to report the two unaccounted travelers.
