A Northern Irish man has been sentenced to life in prison with an initial sentence of 20 years for serious internet sexual assault of children and murdering of a 12-year-old girl.
Alexander McCartney of County Armagh guilty to 185 charges, includes well over 50 counts of blackmail.
Between 2013 and 2019, he is estimated to have targeted up to 3,500 victims between 10 to 16, from all around the world.
He pled guilty to manslaughter following Cimarron Thomas, a 12-year-old girl in the United States, committed suicide as he abused her.
