Sonia Dahmani, a renowned Tunisian lawyer and ardent opponent of President Kais Saied, was recently convicted to two years in prison for disrespecting her country, her counsel says.
The charges were taken from the comment she made during a radio interview where she tagged tunisia as a racist country.

These words was as a result of the racism faced by immigrants , the latest news was confirmed by her attorney.
Dahmani was detained since May and had been sentenced to eight months in imprisonment in September for claiming that Tunisia wasn't an excellent nation to live. In the latest election, President Saied received 90% of the vote, beating two other candidates, one of whom is currently imprisoned. Opposition of the election considered it a fraud.
