The political turmoil that swept the state on Monday claimed the lives of six persons, according to confirmation from the Osun State Police Command.
The spokesman for the command, Yemisi Opalola, issued a statement on Tuesday expressing condolences for the people who lost their relatives and property.
Mohammed Abba, the Commissioner of Police, has promised the public that a comprehensive investigation will be carried out to catch the offenders and make sure they bear the full force of the law, according to Opalola.
The Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress have been arguing over who is to blame for the state's crisis after APC-elected officials attempted to execute a court ruling in the local government elections held on October 15, 2022, but PDP members resisted.
