Countries retaliating against Donald Trump's trade tariffs might hurt Elon Musk's electric vehicle company Tesla and other US exporters, the company has warned.
The US president's close supporter, Mr. Musk, is spearheading initiatives to shrink the federal government.
Tesla, meanwhile, stated in an anonymous letter to a US trade official that although it "supports" fair trade, it was worried that US exporters would be "made visible to disproportionately impacts" if other nations reacted against taxes.
President Donald Trump has decided to support his ally , Mr. Musk by purchasing a tesla at an event held on the day the latter was dated at the whithouse.
Since the beginning of the year, Tesla's share price has decreased by 40%. Although some have claimed that the company's brand is being harmed by Mr. Musk's affiliation with the Trump administration, market analysts believe the share decline is more likely to be caused by concerns about Tesla's ability to fulfill production targets and a decline in sales over the previous 12 months.
