A small aircraft carrying ten people has gone missing in the state of Alaska, and US federal officials are searching for it. According to the US Coast Guard's investigation for the Alaska region, a Cessna Caravan craft was flying from Unalakleet to Nome when "its location was misplaced," this missing incident took place some 146 miles away across Norton Sound.
State officials said in a statement that search and rescue teams are attempting to reach the last known coordinates of the flight after receiving notification of a " past due" plane which the airline Bering Air operated on around 16:00 local time on Thursday.
The Alaska Department of Public Safety update stated that there were 10 individuals on board the plane, nine of the indiviaduals were passengers and the remaining a pilot. information about the identities of the passengers is currently not available.
