For unlawfully recording his sexual contacts with a lady, South Korean football player Hwang Ui-jo was sentenced to a suspended one-year jail term, according to Yonhap News Agency.
A former striker for Nottingham Forest and Norwich City, the 32-year-old currently plays for Alanyaspor in Turkey.
As a results of the case and accusations pointed towards him , amidst all this , he still plays for the south korean men national football team.
The player regrated his actions and pleaded guilty in his first court appearance which took place last year december.
In an effort to blackmail him, Hwang's sister-in-law posted the recordings on social media in June of last year, which led to their discovery.
Hwang sued her, and in September she was given a three-year prison sentence for the blackmail.
