Many Feared dead as Miners and Soliders Clash in a mining Region in Ghana

No fewer than seven person has been confirmed dead as unlicensed miners and soldiers clashed in a mine in Ghana's Ashanti region.
The tragic response was allegedly caused by a gang of about 60 miners who entered the AngloGold Ashanti complex with "pump-action firearms and handmade weapons" and engaged in gunfire with soldiers.

Questions has been asked while eyebrows has also been raised about the current incident after one of the miner's representatives asserted that they were armed.

In response to the alleged incident , demonstrators from the neighboring city of obuasi set the company's trucks and equipment on fire.

President John Mahama of Ghana has promised to hold anyone discovered culpable of misconduct accountable and has opened an inquiry into the situation.
