Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has offered to resume direct peace talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Volodymyr Zelensky said, the possibility of peace talks with Russia in Turkey depended on Putin.
"I think he who started this war can end it," Volodymyr Zelensky told a news conference at a metro station in central Kiev on Saturday. He said he was not afraid to meet with Putin if Russia led Ukraine to a peace deal. Zelensky said he had been pushing for talks with Putin since the beginning.
"I want to meet with Vladimir Putin and resolve the ongoing dispute diplomatically," Volodymyr Zelensky told a news conference. "We have confidence in our allies, but not in Russia," he said.
However, the Kremlin did not say whether Vladimir Putin would hold face-to-face talks with the Ukrainian president.
