Ok, let me answer your doubts to be cleared and be ready for participate in the BLURT JAM!
Answer: What I'm trying to do with the BLURT JAM! is give some incentive for people to create original content exclusively for Blurt so I need that every participation be made with the phrase "Hey, here is @yourusername and this is my participation for the BLURT JAM! Week #" to see that the videos are being made for the week in activity, but you could play an old cover again for the initiative without any problem while you make a new video for it :D
Answer: Yes, that's the essence of the initiative, that people actually appears in the video showing their skills to make music or singing.
