I had a call with a Singer this evening and he complained of STRAINING while SINGING would be Working with him on that📌
He also narrated the issue of how he didn't do so well on Sunday, explaining to me how he was emotionally Down and how he had some things he was going through.
He was surprised that he prepared so well but didn't perform as he expected.
Asking for advice on what to do I had to remind him. Of the fact that music is also a mental activity as well as it's physical and spiritual.
If you aren't in the best state of mind there is a high chance that you might not be able to give off the right emotions to the song at that time.
And so it might now seem as though you weren't prepared.
Because...
"The moment you aren't connecting with your audience you are no longer relevant"
EMOTIONAL SANITY is something we do not tend to pay close attention to but can affect your Singing in ways you might not understand
So.....
When trying to sing, do well to free your mind from mental and emotional stress
If it means
-Praying,
-taking a deep breath,
-Drinking water,
-having good sleep time before a singing activity
Just make sure you are EMOTIONALLY ready as you are PHYSICALLY
