I had to get away and travel far and clear my mind, so I hopped in my rusty car. I ended up going on to hiway 21 and started driving towards the town of Grand Bend. It was a nice peaceful drive, surprisingly not that much traffic for a long weekend. I finally got there in great time.I stopped at the Tim Hortons in Grand Bend and grabbed myself a cup of joe, I parked my car there because it was free parking there. I wasn't going to park my car in a regular parking lot and pay 30 bucks, what a tourist trap.
I took a walk down the main drag of the town, there was a huge police presence . I finally made it down to the beach. I climbed up to a higher view point about 20 feet to get a birds eye view of the beach and the downtown. There was lots of people on the beach enjoying the sun, people riding watersport things, also people skydiving.
After that I walked back to my car and drove to the Town of Bayfield, when I was growing up in my teen year's I lived a 5 minute drive south of this town. I stopped by the Main St. I stopped by somewhere very interesting, but your going to have to wait for my #marketfiday post this friday, sorry about your luck. I also visited my favorite Captain, his name is Harry.
And then I thought lets go to the town of Goderich, back in the day the kids would call that place Godrocks. I went down to the beach there, it was really dark outside, but the beach was craziness, so many people down there. I put two and two together and they were waiting for a big firework display. I remember when I was 20 years old I went down there for fireworks, I was way too drunk to appreciate fireworks, I got into too many 40s oz of colt 45. So this time I was sober. I took a walk down the boardwalk and watched the fireworks
I thought it would be a good idea to try to get my car out of there before the fireworks ended to beat the traffic, but I didn't make it, I got stuck basically in a standstill for like an hour, I ended up driving back to Sarnia and made it back.
