Good day friends, I have not made a post here for some time now. I have read about mindfulness and I would like to share the little I have learnt as it may sound useful. Mindfulness is a state of mind and it is something that deserves our attention regardless of our age group. We can define mindfulness as a way of paying attention or, better still, developing some sense of awareness of the current state of our mind.
Mindfulness is practiced on purpose and is done unjudgmentally. When one pays attention to his present moment, he or she is practicing mindfulness, and this will increase his level of awareness. In our day-to-day activities, we can practice mindfulness without even knowing it. For instance, if you are eating, the state of your mind will determine whether you are being mindful or not. Someone can be eating with less mindfulness or awareness.
It happens in our lives in most cases whereby you will be doing an activity and the mind will be thinking about a different activity aside from what you are currently doing, which can indirectly impose consequences. Sometimes, minor activities run through our minds to draw our attention away from what we are currently doing. Under minding these minors will result in an unconscious state of mind and this will end up affecting most of our activities. In whatever you are doing, whether you are a student, doctor, footballer, engineer, artist, and so on, you should try your possible best to do it with 100% mindfulness.
This will help improve your productivity and excellence in your work. With mindfulness, we learn to be aware of our feelings and accept them in any way. Thanks for reading. My next post will be about ways we can practice mindfulness.
