lol. You picked a long holiday weekend! Hence all the Bangkokians have left the city. I lived in Jomtien, maybe 12 years ago, for a year.

Weekend Visit to Jomtien City and Beach.
I certainly did I hadn't seen Thai people gathered like that since the pandemic I was shocked to see them back to normal. I am looking forward moving to Jomtien how did you find it any tips ...!!
Depends what you like. The beach heading south, when the beach turns into a wall of rocks, was largely undeveloped at the time. I lived in a house, set back from the beach, prob Dongtan rather than Jomtien itself, tho they join up as one. Was kinda peaceful at the time. lol.
Pay a big premium for a "sea view", so depends if that's important.
@ajerkoff lived there too (not with me!) and maybe more recently. I think he also lived in-land - for me, the living space was more important than being able to see the sea.
I just added a comment as to where I stopped or a few of the places, I also stopped just behind Jomtien in a village just over on the dark side over sukumvit road in a house for a year.
OK, if he has wheels that makes it more flexible.
The other thing I recall is to find out where the owner lives (if renting) - not that you really wanna go round there... but you might have to!
One place I rented in Jomtien near the tower, apartment block called Kian Talay I rented off my female hair dresser, not hard to find her, she cut my hair every 2 weeks :-)
Thank you @ajerkoff and @blurtyield for your input on this I decided on a condo down near Dongtan beach area it seemed quieter and only 300 meters from the beach also close to shopping area like FoodMart.
yeah and you can head in either direction. I was around there but really can't recall the names of places! lol.
You are never a baht taxi ride from anywhere you want :-)
I lived 100 meters from the beach in Jomtien a few times, once at the orange house long stay hotel, and the long stay hotel next to it, had an apartment 1/4 of a mile away too by the tower that you pay to go up and can come down with a hand slide bar, I did.
It is much quieter there than down in Pattaya, I did 10 years on and off as you know and always tried to get into Jomtien first if possible. I stopped in Kian Talay apartments for 2 years, a stones throw from the beach again. There are loads of things to do there, you will like it for sure.
