Well, just after a week of becoming the T20 world champions, England couldn't continue the fun. It's a heartbreaking whitewash for them at the ODI series against Australia in the same condition. It's a 3-match series and Australia won it comprehensively for 3-0.
And Pat Cummins who led the team for the first time, after the retirement of Finch, is successful.

The last ODI was held today at MCG, is a forgettable one for England, resulting 221 runs defeat, which is their biggest loss ever. With the terrific partnership between the Aussie opening pair of 269 runs, they could score 355-5 after 48 overs. The rain disturbed the scenario a bit. It is the highest partnership at MCG for any wicket.
The match was just a one sided one. England could manage only 142 in 31.4 overs chasing this huge target. The wickets were rattled regularly without giving the vistors any chance. Adam Zampa of Austrlaia was brilliant doing the biggest damage by taking 4 wickets just for 31 runs.

The Australian veteran opener could able to put a stop to the century thirst in this match scoring 106 runs off 97 balls. And today, he passed another milestone by reaching 6000 ODI runs. He is the tenth and the fastest Australian to do so.

And Australia could find their other opener targeting the 2023 ODI world cup. Travis Head scored 152 runs, his carrier best, with 4 massive sixes and 16 fours. The record between Warner and Head has been brilliant so far for England. In their 7 innings together they have scored 795 runs at an average of 113.
