Well, it's been a while. Anyway as a huge Cricket fan, I thought to start my comeback with that genre. You know, the IPL(Indian Premier League) has become a serious part of Cricket right now. It occurs every year, mainly with Indian players and the best overseas players as well. (7 Indians: 04 overseas per team). Currently, there are 10 items, based on Indian main cities.

Every three years, the teams get the chance to rebuild their teams, with a Mega Auction. They have a total amount of INR 120 crore, to make a team consisting of 18-25 players. From the previous squad, the teams can retain up to 06 players, according to their requirements.

So, out of 577 players shortlisted, here's how teams bagged their players at the auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25. It was a highly intense situation, as it was the first step towards being the champions.

So, I will present to you how each team did in this year's auction and their team combination. So, let me start with Gujarat Titans.

The team which was founded in 2022, did a great job being the champions in their first attempt, and runner-up in the next one. But after the captain Hardik Pandya left the team, they had a slight pullback in the last season becoming the 8th. But I guess they did a fantastic job this time, with building a rather complete team.

Squad25 Total, 07 overseas
Retained Players (INR)Rashid Khan (18 Cr), Shubman Gill (16.5 Cr), Sai Sudharsan (8.5 Cr), Rahul Tewatia (4Cr), Shahrukh Khan (4 Cr)

Probable XIShubman Gill (C), Jos Buttler (WK), Sai Sudharsan, Mahipal Lomror, Glenn Phillips, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, Rashid Khan, Washington Sundar, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna

So, what do you think of the squad? It was solid. Isn't it? They retained the core of the last year's squad for reasonable prices. The batting unit was already up to the mark, and they had to bag some ballers and overseas players. They came up with a solid plan and executed well inside the budget.

  • In the start claiming three out of 12 marquee players, Jos Buttler, Mohammed Siraj, and Kagiso Rabada to a pretty good deal, made their day.

  • And when looking at the price tags, they had some great deals for pretty low prices like Phillips, Sundar, Coetzee, Rutherford, etc.

  • Amazing top order - consisting of Butler, Gill, and Sai.

  • Top balling attack - Rabada, Rashid, Siraj, Sundar, Prasidh Krishna, Gerald Coetzee

  • Pretty good finishers and all-rounders - Phillips, Tewatia, Rashid, Rutherford, Sundar, Shahrukh Khan

So, I guess this is a well-balanced and in-form team. If injuries don't happen, they are in full mood, being the champions is highly possible for them.

My Rating - 9.5/10

Until the next time!

Best Regards!
