Hello Everyone, Hope everything is going just fine.
A few days back I shared a small introduction to Mental health and self-care practices. Well, I thought to dig into more details on this subject and discuss a few aspects of this, as this topic includes in one of my modules as well. So, my next topic will be Stress management.
What is stress? I think we all have experiencedd this, more or less in our lives, and that has become an unavoidable aspect of life. Stress is a physical, mental, and emotional response to a challenge faced by us. Either it can be a positive event like marriage or a new job, or negative events like a death, a disease, or financial difficulties. With stress, our bodies release hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, which are helpful to respond to challenging situation. They can increase blood pressure, sugar levels, and heart rate.

Stress can be short-term and quickly goes away. But if it becomes chronic/ long term many physical and mental problems can raised like health issues, such as anxiety, depression, heart disease, and sleep disorders. Therefore, to preserve general well-being and avoid these harmful effects, stress management is crucial.
The things that can be done for Stress management
- Understanding the sources of stress in our life - Work, relationships, financial issues, personal health, etc
Once, we understand the source, we can think about the next step according to the scenario. Setting limits at work, ending toxic relationships, or maybe professional advice like counseling or therapies.
