He made a 49 ball 100 (111* runs in 51 balls) against Kiwis to have a comfortable win in the first match. It includes 7 sixes and 11 fours.

This is his second T20 hundred in just 41 innings with 14 fifties as well.
He got the maiden international call up in February 2021, against England. And got the chance to bat in 18th March, 2021. The first ball he faced was hit for a six announcing his entance to the world, and scored a fifty. Eventhough he got the chance late (at 31 years old), he became a crucial piece in Indian squad in no-time, especially in the T20 Format. In 2021 he was called for ODI and Test squads as well.
