Hello Everyone, you know that I am a huge fan of Cricket. Cricket is a sport with a vivid history with thousands of memories. It has produced many great players, who revolutionized the game and sealed their names on the elite list.
So, through this series let's explore some Cricket Greats, their carriers,, and their impact on the game. I will choose three impactful players, starting from Sri Lanka. There are tons of players, and these are just my personal preferences.
Master Blaster - Sanath Jayasuriya
The legendary all-rounder who introduced the T20 format for the world in ODI cricket. He with Kaluwitharana started to attack the bowlers in the first 10 overs when the world used to defend in the first few overs. He is considered one of the greatest cricketers in the world representing Sri Lanka in over 100 Test matches and more than 400 One Day International (ODI) matches.

He is known for his aggressive and innovative batting style, which helped him score over 20,000 runs in international cricket. In ODI Cricket, he is the first player to score 10,000+ runs and 300+ wikcets.
Jayasuriya's success on the field had a major impact on Sri Lankan cricket. He made the craze for Cricket in Sri Lanka and and inspired generaions, and put the name of this small island in the world. He is the player of the tournament in 1996 winning ODI world cup!!
Spinning Wizard - Muttiah Muralitharan
He is the greatest bowler of all time along with great Shane Warne of Australia. He has an unorthodox and excpetional spin bowling ability that scared the batsmen. He is the highest wicket taker both in Test and ODI, with 800 and 534 wickets respectively.

He is a key member in 1996 winning world cup and majorly impact to raise the game locally and internationally. He was accussed several times for thowing the ball and tried to ruined the carrear of this greatest. But successfully overcome those problems and become highly respected and admired man by cricket fans and players around the world. He was inducted into ICC Hall of Fame in 2017.
The Gentleman - Kumar Sangakkara
One of the greatest batsman Sri Lanka has ever produced. His elegant and stylish batting style is a delight to watch. A leader, mentor, role model, inspiration, well-educated person and one of the most accomplished player.

He has scored 28,000+ international runs, with an average of 57 in Tests and 41 in ODI, second highest double century holder, 4 consecutive centuries in ODI, and many more records with him. He was inducted into ICC Hall of Fame in 2017.
And apart from a player, he is well-known for his personality. He is the first non-Britsh MCC president where Cricket rules are formed, the youngest person to give MCC Spirit of Cricket Lecture, a lawyer, now a commentator, mentor and a successful businessman as well.
