Hello Everyone, you know that I am a huge fan of Cricket. Cricket is a sport with a vivid history with thousands of memories. It has produced many great players, who revolutionized the game and sealed their names on the elite list.
So, I have started an article series to talk about Cricket Greats from different countries, their carriers, and their impact on the game. You can read my precious editions about Cricket Greats in Sri Lankaand in Austraila and in West Indies. Today let's talk about India.
Being the largest Cricket nation, India has a proud history in Cricket and still producing legendary players. For the fans this game is just like a religion for them. Let's see top three of India and these are just my personal preferences.
Sachin Tendulkar
Simply he is treated as a god in India then and now. He is a widely appreciated and one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He is a complete batter, a prolific run machine, the biggest Cricket icon in the world. His technique is so pure and treats the eyes to watch him batting. He started his first class carrear at the age of 15 and at age 16 years 205 days he became Indian youngest player to start international cricket, in 1989. He played 200 Test and 463 ODI matches for India scoring 34000+ runs.

He was inducted to the ICC Hall of Fame in 2019.
MS Dhoni
The Captain cool. Unarguably the best captain India has ever produced. A master of finishing, a quick wicketkeeper with a mastermind knowledge of the game. He started his international career in 2004 and quickly gained captaincy in 2007 ahead of many senior players. He carried the Indian team-high in all three formats within the rankings.

Under his captaincy India lifted the T20 World cup in 2007, 2011 ICC Cricket World and the Champions Trophy in 2013. Only captain to do so. In 2010 and 2016 they won the Asia Cup, the Most number of wins as captain in T20I (41 from 72), as a captain in Test (27 out of 60), and in the ODI (110 out of 200). 4 times IPL wins for CSK. As a batsman, he has scored 10,773 runs at an average of 50.73 in ODI, 4876 at 38.06 in Test, and 1617 at 37.6 in T20. So, he is a terrific player India has ever produced.
Kapil Dev
The captain that led India for their first ODI world cup in 1983. When the West Indies team was dominating the cricket world India could raise the bar and announced their name in the Cricket world highly. He is one of the great all-rounders in the world. As a New Yorker, I'm really not into cricket but I can see you've put a lot of effort into the post so thank you for taking the time!
Thank you so much for your visit and the compliment. Yeah, it's hard to see many cricket fans here. Anyway, Cricket is my favorite hobby and passion. So, the effort I put into that is always a pleasure to me. Hope to continue different article series and my ideas. Hopefully one day, someone will find it helpful and nice collection for me to read as well.
