Hello Everyone, you know that I am a huge fan of Cricket. Cricket is a sport with a vivid history with thousands of memories. It has produced many great players, who revolutionized the game and sealed their names on the elite list.
So, through this series let's explore some Cricket Greats, their carriers,, and their impact on the game. You can read the first edition about Cricket Greats in Sri Lanka. Today let's talk about Australia. There are tons of players, and these are just my personal preferences.
Sir Donald Bradman
He is considered as the greatest player of all time. He has played for 52 Test matches between 1928-1948. His batting average of 99.94 is an amazing statistics in Sports history. No one is still even near to that level. It's still unmatched and one od the greatest acivements in sports. He is a good captain that took the Australian Cricket team in to next level.

He still hold the highest number of Test double centuries, joint highest b=number of Test thriple centuries with Lara, Fewest matches to reach 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 runs in Test, highest runs is a signal day, highest fifth wicket partnership, most runs against one oponent, and many more. Almost it's 100 years and still records couldn't be broken. He was knighted in 1949 and inducted to hall of fame in 1996.
Shane Warne
Greatest baller of all time alongside with Sri Lankan legend Muttaiah Muralitharan. He is a leg spinner and a key member of Australian team in their dominance period 1990 s and 2000s. He represented Australia in 145 Test matches between 1992 and 2007, taking 708 wickets at an average of 25.41. He is the second highest wicket taker in Test. And also 293 ODI wickets at an average of 25.73.

He has revolutionized the art of Leg spin. He also has scored 3154 Test runs at an average of 17.32 and has taken 125 Test catches. He has taken 37 five-wicket hauls and 10 10-wicket hauls in a match. In 2013, he was inducted to ICC Hall of fame. In any all time elevan he is always included. The friendly battle beween him and Murali made both of them greats in the game. A Test series between Sri Lanka and Australia has named as Warne-Murali trophy. In the last year he was died by a heart attack.
Ricky Ponting
One of the most successful batsmen and a captain in the history of the game. He represented Australia in 168 Test matches between 1995 and 2012, scoring 13,378 runs at an average of 51.85. He is the second-highest run-scorer in Test cricket, behind only Sachin Tendulkar. In 375 ODI matches he has scored 13,704 runs at an average of 42.03.

More than being a terrific batsman, he is a great captain. He lead Australian team in winning 2003 and 2007 world cups, and also a member of 1999 world cup winning team. And also lead the team for being 2006 and 2009 Champions Trophies. Overall he has a won 220 matches from 324 matches at an average of 67.9%. And he is the only player to win 100+ Test matches. In 2015, he was inducted to ICC Hall of Fame.
