Hello Everyone, Hope everything is just fine.
In my previous articles, I shared with you about mental health and self-care practices. There, I have repeatedly told that mindfulness and meditation, as the main techniques for improving Mental health. So, today I thought to discuss it.
Mindfulness is the basic essence of the Eastern knowledge system, especially centering the breath and mind. In Buddhism, Vedic and Yogic cultures, Sen, many teachings can be seen about this.
Being mindful is learning to be present and aware at all times. It means paying mindful attention to your feelings, ideas, and environment without passing judgment. There are many different ways to master mindfulness, such as through yoga, meditation, and other forms of physical activity.
As I said, people have practiced mindfulness and meditation to improve their overall mental, emotional, and physical health since ancient times. These techniques have been demonstrated to be successful in lowering stress, anxiety, and depression as well as in enhancing general well-being. In Buddhism, prince Siddhartha attained his noble power, with Meditation.
There are various types of meditation, transcendental meditation, guided imagery or images, walking, and Yoga as well. But the widely discussed type is anapanasathi (focusing on the breath), which involves sitting quietly and focusing on the mind.
As a start, try easy methods like deep breathing, gradual muscle relaxation, or guided imagery incorporating mindfulness and meditation into your regular practice. There are apps that are helpful as well.
The advantages of mindfulness and meditation are cumulative, which means that the more you practice, the more advantages you'll experience. It is advised to begin with just a few minutes per day and extend the time gradually when you get used to the process.

I agree, meditation is good for us. I do not really practice, but a few years ago, I did try it out here and there for the fun of it. After a while, I started to do the breathing/relaxing/imaging before going to bed and now, I can say that I usually fall asleep under 2 minutes now, it is wonderful!
Yeah.... It makes me really calm. You can use guided meditation in YouTube like music or hearings as well.
