Health is Wealth!
I brought myself to hospital on 8-Nov 2024 Friday due to severe stomach ache. My doctor immediately advised me to undergo ultrasound test and found out there something fluid in my appendix. To exclude rapture appendix, he called the ER to process me to CT abdomen test, since it's friday and most of the labs are close here in the KSA so he himself urge the ER to do so. He then requested to get me admitted and not to go home before I get treated.
I was diagnosed with raptured appendicitis, and need an immediate surgical operation. The CT scan test done on 8-Nov-2024 at 7pm. To proceed with the operation, a team of surgeons visited my admission room to finalize the surgery. From that day, they don't let me eat or drink anything.
On 9-Nov-2024 Saturday in the morning another surgeons came to me and investigate. The last doctor visited me in the afternoon was the anesthesia doctor, she was asking for all my possible allergies to food and medicines. Thanks God I don't have any allergies so far to food or meds.
At 2pm on Saturday, my nurse let me change my clothes to hospital gown and asked me, happy now? Because I always ask her since I admitted if when is my surgical operation schedule. I don't have the chance to be a coward at this time as my goal is to cure whatever I have suffering with.
Good things that if you do good sometimes to your colleagues since I am working abroad, is that they won't leave you alone despite of our busy jobs. At 3pm on Saturday I was brought to the operating room. Thanks God the operation was successful after 3hours.
I was shocked when I woke up from the operation, I have a drain tube below my right ribs. The next day early in the morning, five doctors including interns and resident doctors visited me to check my status from surgery and brought me a spirometer to exercise my lungs as I was being intubated during the procedure. I was feeling like running after my breath at that time.
They instructed me to use the spirometer from time to time until i reach 2500ml. Also, encourage me to walk at least once every an hour to lessen the pain in my stomach from surgery.
The doctor finally removed my drain tube on 12-Nov-2024 and I was discharged at 3pm. Now, I am recovering here at our accommodation. So far, I am doing well with big improvement day after day. Although my doctor provided me a 14 days sick leave, I will try if I can go back to office on Saturday, that will be 7 days after the surgery.
That's all for now, take Care of your health tanglers. God Bless us all!
