Every January, people celebrate Veganuary, where they try to live like vegans for a month. Vegans don't eat anything from animals, like meat, milk, eggs, or honey. It might seem tough, but there are more vegan foods available now in shops and restaurants in Britain.

Here are some pros and cons about eating only plant-based foods:

Pros: Being vegan might keep you from getting sick.

According to Some research , some health issues will not affect vegans , these health issues include diabetes, high blood pressure and heart diseases.

But this could also be because vegans might have more time and money to eat well and exercise.

Cons: You might not get some important nutrients.

Plants have lots of vitamins, but you might not get enough of some things your body needs, like calcium, vitamin B12, and omega-3 fats. You might need to take extra vitamins, which can cost more.

Pros: You could lose weight.

When you start eating vegan, you might lose weight because you're eating less fat and fewer high-calorie foods like cheese.

Cons: It's not for everyone.

If you have certain health issues, like weak bones, your doctor might say a vegan diet isn't good for you because you need dairy for calcium.

Pros: It's kinder to animals.

No animals are hurt or killed for vegan food, so there's less need for big places that kill animals and less cruelty on farms. This is a big reason why some people choose to eat less meat or go vegan.

Cons: Eating out can be hard.

Even though it's getting better, many places to eat don't have many vegan options, and some don't have any, which makes it harder to find something you can eat when you're out.

You are right, eating vegan has its disadvantages, especially when you have to eat out, there are almost no restaurants that prepare vegan food, at least in the city where I live.
