Hi, my dear friends!
After the shelling on January 14, electricity became a little worse. Although ... and before that it was not too good. But we are not discouraged. First, we've all stocked up on power banks. Before the war, I didn’t understand at all why I needed it, but now I have two of them😁
Secondly, if this is not enough, I can always charge gadgets at any gas station. I can even sit down and work there if my house is too cold. But so far, I've only used this opportunity once, when I didn't have internet at home.
For me, in general, the issue of electricity is not too critical, I can always turn on the generator, but by doing this infrequently (too expensive). But for people who live in apartment buildings, this is a good opportunity. Many gas stations have created special zones so that people can charge their gadgets and work. Why gas stations? Because they all have generators and internet.
So. A power bank is a must. Even if you have generators. Now for the batteries. They are usually quite expensive. But there are two points here. Firstly, they are unlikely to give you enough light, no matter what the manufacturers promise you. But even if you have a super high-quality expensive rechargeable lamp, then in conditions of constant blackout, the battery will soon exhaust its reserve.
But there is a wonderful lamp that connects to a power bank. It's called a selfie lamp and it's quite inexpensive, but it will give you enough light with minimal use of the power bank's reserve.
Another thing that will make life a lot easier in case of a blackout is a headlamp. Sometimes you need to do something in the dark and you need both of your hands. This flashlight will make your life much easier.
The problem remains: which one to choose? with batteries or rechargeable? Correct answer: take both! And don't forget an extra set of batteries!
In general, the main rule is: it is better to have several inexpensive interchangeable lighting devices than one expensive one. And a few expensive and high-quality ones are even better 😉
I really hope you never need my blackout advice. And if you need it, then better believe me, because I'm not a theorist, but a practitioner, I've been living in a blackout for almost a year, two months of them - a complete blackout.
I took pictures of my dogs today. They are not directly related to the topic of this post, but they are very bored in the dark and wanted to participate too😉
