27 de Mayo de 2022, llega una de los momentos más esperados por los fans de Star Wars: el estreno de la serie OBI-WAN KENOBI en la plataforma Disney Plus. Aunque la última trilogía cinematográfica le dio un fuertebajón a la franquicia, hay que reconocer que Star Wars tomó un respiro gracias a THE MANDALORIAN, y en parte a El Libro de BOBA FETT, aunque esta última tiene sus detalles cuestionables. Entonces, Disney y Lucas Films vuelven apostar por el formato streaming, esta vez trayendo a los fans este segmento importante en la vida del personaje Obi-Wan.
May 27, 2022, one of the most anticipated moments for Star Wars fans arrives: the premiere of the OBI-WAN KENOBI series on the Disney Plus platform. Although the last film trilogy gave the franchise a strong downturn, it must be recognized that Star Wars took a breather thanks to THE MANDALORIAN, and in part to The Book of BOBA FETT, although the latter has its questionable details. A continuación daré mi opinión sobre lo bueno y lo malo de los primeros dos capítulos de la serie, por lo que es posible que salten algunos pequeños SPOILERS. Igualmente haré lo posible por minimizarlos y centrarme en otros detalles.
Next I will give my opinion about the good and the bad of the first two chapters of the series, so it is possible that some small SPOILERS will jump. I will also do my best to minimize them and focus on other details.
Lo Bueno The good
La serie se ubica temporalmente entre los episodios 3 y 4, narrando los acontecimientos que vivió el personaje en esa etapa. Tal vez a muchos pueda parecerles irrelevante, pero por lo visto en los primeros capítulos, luce bastante interesante.
The series is temporarily located between episodes 3 and 4, narrating the events that the character experienced at that stage. Perhaps it may seem irrelevant to many, but apparently in the first chapters, it looks quite interesting.
El cast
La serie cuenta con el regreso de Ewan McGregor al papel de Obi-Wan el cual ejecuta correctamente, un Kenobi aún aflijido y obviamente abatido por el desenlace de su enfrentamiento con Anakin en La Venganza de los Sith, creyendo aún que le ha dado muerte a su discípulo. También vuelve Jimmy Smits interpretando al Senador Bail Prestor, lo cual le da esa sensación de mayor continuidad con respecto a la trilogía cinematográfica. Mención especial a la excelente interpretación de la jovencita Vivien Lyra Blair como la pequeña Princesa Leia Organa.
The series features Ewan McGregor's return to the role of Obi-Wan which he executes correctly, a Kenobi still grieving and obviously dejected by the outcome of his confrontation with Anakin in Revenge of the Sith, still believing he has given him death to his disciple. Jimmy Smits also returns playing Senator Bail Prestor, which gives him that feeling of greater continuity with respect to the film trilogy. Special mention to the excellent interpretation of the young Vivien Lyra Blair as little Princess Leia Organa.

Some artists who have added color to the cast include Kumail Nanjiani (Dinesh in Silicon Valley) as a con man posing as a Jedi, Sung Kang (Han Lue in Fast & Furious) as a member of the Empire's Inquisitors, and a guest appearance by FLEA. Producción Production
Los efectos especiales y los escenarios tienen una gran calidad, se nota que hubo bastante trabajo de parte de los diseñadores de vestuario, maquillaje y escenografía. Los momentos de vuelo de las naves y las tomas aéreas son impecables. Hay una ciudad que puede parecer Tokyo en el futuro, obviamente el diseño influenciado por la estructura japonesa, pero a mi me ha gustado y lo compro, jeje.
The special effects and the scenes have a great quality, it shows that there was a lot of work on the part of the costume, makeup and set designers. The moments of flight of the ships and the aerial shots are impeccable. There is a city that may look like Tokyo in the future, obviously the design is influenced by the Japanese structure, but I liked it and I bought it, hehe.
El guión creo que cumple las expectativas, se va entendiendo todo perfectamente, bastante lineal, y todo tiene un buen ritmo, no excelente, pero si con lo suficiente para que el espectador no se aburra.
I think the script meets expectations, everything is understood perfectly, quite linear, and everything has a good rhythm, not excellent, but enough so that the viewer does not get bored.
Lo malo The bad
Son pocas las cosas que puedo criticar de la serie, sin embargo hay que traerlas a colación. Una de ellas, es el papel de la actriz Moses Ingram como la villana Reva, quien parece no termina de convencer como "villana", igualmente hay que darle oportunidad a desarrollar el personaje en el resto de la serie.
There are few things that I can criticize about the series, however, they must be brought up. One of them is the role of the actress Moses Ingram as the villainous Reva, who seems to be unconvinced as a "villain", also giving her the opportunity to develop the character in the rest of the series.
Otra cosa que me ha descolocado varias veces es la edición y dirección. Hay momentos en que personajes que están acorralados por una situación, de pronto escapan casi que incoherentemente. Me explico y aquí tal vez hay migajas de spoiler: una escena donde la niña Leia se le escapa a Obi-Wan muy tontamente, otra donde Leia a caído de un edificio y Obi-Wan llega extremadamente rápido, en una escena un jedi escapa de los inquisidores que lo tenían rodeado y este deja caer unos palitos con una cortina que se les interpone en el camino yyy.. así huye, ahí dije Whats?? y estos Inquisidores son pura pinta o que?, jaja.
Another thing that has thrown me off several times is the editing and directing. There are times when characters cornered by a situation suddenly escape almost incoherently. Let me explain and here maybe there are spoiler crumbs: a scene where the girl Leia escapes from Obi-Wan very foolishly, another where Leia has fallen from a building and Obi-Wan arrives extremely fast, in a scene a Jedi escapes from the inquisitors who had him surrounded and he drops some sticks with a curtain that gets in their way and and and so he flees, there I said Whats?? and these Inquisitors are pure looks or what?, haha.
Finalmente, hay una escena donde no sé si fueron ideas mías, pero me pareció que la cabeza de Ewan McGregor estaba superpuesta al cuerpo, porque era notorio el cambio de color del cuello con el cuerpo. ¿Error de maquillaje o de efectos especiales? no estoy seguro pero lo noté demasiado. Y dirán: "oye pero que exagerado y exigente mostro", pero vale, digamos que ese fue un detalle no tan importante, pero igual quise dejarlo por aquí.
Finally, there is a scene where I don't know if it was my ideas, but it seemed to me that Ewan McGregor's head was superimposed on the body, because the color of the neck changed with the body. Makeup or special effects mistake? I'm not sure but I noticed it too. And they will say: "hey, but how exaggerated and demanding he showed", but okay, let's say that was a not so important detail, but I still wanted to leave it here.
Conclusión
En general, es más lo bueno que lo malo, la serie es disfrutable seguramente para todos los fans de Star Wars, incluso para los decepcionados por la última trilogía (como yo). Ahora bien, no puedo decir lo mismo del público casual, creo que si no estás empapado en el universo, puedes sentirte "extraviado", pese al buen resumen que dan de Obi-wan al comenzar la serie. Entonces: RECOMENDADA! no dejen de verla, disponible en Disney Plus. Yeahh!!
Overall, more good than bad, the series is surely enjoyable for all Star Wars fans, even those disappointed by the last trilogy (like me). Now, I can't say the same for casual audiences, I think if you're not steeped in the universe, you can feel "lost", despite the good summary they give of Obi-wan at the beginning of the series. So: RECOMMENDED! don't stop watching it, available on Disney Plus. Yeah!!

Muy buen post amigo mostró o como tú dices friend jsjs se ve que le pusiste mucho empeño. A mí la verdad no me gusta mucho ver las nuevas series que salen de Star wars porque nunca he visto las primeras películas 👀 siento que me voy a perder.
ciertamente es importante para entender esta serie ver primero los episodios 1,2 y 3. Si no los has visto, en Internet se consiguen Resúmenes de diez y quince minutos y ya está. jeje.
