See off!

No matter how grown-up or mature you are, goodbyes will always hurt. Yesterday my husband went to Saudi Arabia for work. In 2023 he has been traveling a lot for work and various other reasons taking both national and international trips. For every travel, we had a tentative idea about the duration of his travel, unlike this time. This time we know the duration is uncertain and it's going to be long that's why it was very painful to send him off.

With a very heavy heart, I departed my husband, hoping, praying, and wishing that we unite soon. More than me I miss him for my daughter. I was feeling bad for her. Allah has made and tuned the relationship of father-daughter in such a way that they complete each other. It is one of the purest forms of love. May Allah unite us soon, and may Allah make things easy for us.

Those days are gone when our mothers used to spend years away from their husbands. I have seen both my mother and mother-in-law staying away from their husbands back in India to raise their children while their husbands working abroad. The struggle and the pain that they faced were irreversible and the lacuna and the emptiness their children had to go through was a lot for the little ones to take in. But on the contrary, it made the women stronger, wiser, and confident and children more sensible and responsible. So I would pick a positive side of this separation and try to be tough, looking up to my mother and mother-in-law who have set such a high example for us.
