Friends,
I mentioned that I was shifted to Mumbai for some years in my earlier post.
Initially, I was staying at my aunt’s place and afterwards rented a furnished flat on the 17th floor at Thane.
The view was beautiful from the flat window and veranda. The hills are being seen on one side, and on the other, the river. Every evening I used to sit and enjoy the view.
Thane is a town of lakes, and some of the lakes are beautifully decorated. If anyone visits Thane, they should enjoy the beauty of Thane.
Now, Thane has been gifted with high-rise buildings and malls which was not there some years back, which I came to know from the old resident of Thane.
From Monday to Friday, the people of Mumbai are busy with work, and they don’t even have time to look at other things happening around them.
Mumbai is known for its nightlife, beach, movie stars, and the living place of the who’s who of the Indian economy. It is also known for the spirits of the people.
I used to go to Juhu beach on Friday late evening around 11 pm to feel these. The beach was full of people, lights, and local food stalls.
It was always happening. I have seen children playing on the beach around 1 am, parents gossiping, and old people walking on the beach. I used to think about where this energy comes from and, in my limited knowledge, understood this is the spirit of Mumbai.
I tried my heart out to meet some of the movie stars. I have seen some of the stars but could never meet them.
I have seen the houses of some of the wealthiest persons of India and the world. Oh my god, what the buildings are, which I can dream of only, till now.
I enjoyed staying in Mumbai but missed my family there.
