Another interesting contest on Feather friends community "BIRDS IN THE GRASS". Photographing bird in the grass requires some kind of expertise. As on grass there is no place to hide so photographer has to intelligently get close to the bird. When I do birding on grass I asses the situation and place myself on some vantage point and hope that bird will come close to me. I wait with patience and motionless for several hours so birds become use to me and come close to me. My first picture of Hoopoe is that kind of picture where in a split of second I got this photograph.

During birding I experienced that car was a good vintage point. Most of the pictures that I took from car like this Snipe picture. In this collection of Birds in the Grass some other pictures were also taken from car like Pond heron, Rook and Red-wattled lapwing.

When I photograph birds in the grass, I try to go as low as possible. Sometimes eye level contact with bird brings some thing amazing. I always love to change perspective to get some new angles but birds move fast. So we photograph according to birds' movement. Hope Feather friends community would like these pictures and would hear your thoughts in comment.
