Raj duck rearing method.

Raising ducklings is like raising chickens. The temperature required for a duckling is 32C in the 1st week, 29C in the 2nd week, 28C in the 3rd week, 23C in the 4th week, and 21C in the 5th week. Temperature required. The brooder temperature should be adjusted 6 hours before the baby is released. Ducklings need to be heated for 4 weeks in summer and up to 5 weeks in winter. Babies should be given initial feeding till 2-3 weeks of age, early feeding up to 4-19 weeks and layer feeding after 20 weeks. Each baby duck has to be fed 10-20 grams in 1st week, 21-31 grams in 2nd week, 31-41 grams in 3rd week, 41-55 grams in 4th week and 55-65 grams in 5th week. Food.

Ducks mainly eat two types of food. Such as natural food and supplementary food. Natural food: Ducks meet their food needs through natural and supplementary food. Weeds, water hyacinths, insects, young grass leaves, oysters, snails and small fish etc. meet half of the food requirement. Supplements: Ducks prefer wet foods. Therefore, water should always be mixed in the food of ducks. Usually 1-6 week old ducks are fed 4-5 times a day, 6 week old ducks are fed 2-3 times a day and growing ducks are fed twice a day. Ducks have to be fed in the morning and in the afternoon. Food should be kept at home for the night. Daily intake of ducks depends on the breed, age, quality of food, habitat, size of food and serving of ducks. Daily 15 grams in the first week of birth, 25 grams in the second week, 30 grams in the third week, 35 grams in the fourth week, 40 grams in the fifth week, 45 grams in the sixth week, 50 grams in the seventh week, 55 grams in the eighth week. 125 grams of food is to be given.
