I am a person who consumes a lot of YouTube and podcasts, because during the last few weeks the YouTube algorithm has been recommending me only content related to the case of Johnny depp accusing his ex-wife of defamation, at first it was a bit interesting because I remember that a few years ago she had accused him of domestic violence and many people on Twitter focused on speaking against him when there was still no evidence that this was real, he had an impeccable career in the world of cinema and thanks to all those media accusations he lost many contracts and of course your reputation.

Soy una persona que consume mucho Youtube y podcast, pues durante las últimas semanas el algoritmo de YouTube me estuvo recomendando solo contenido relacionado al caso de Johnny depp acusando a su ex esposa por difamación, al principio fue un poco interesante porque recuerdo que hace unos años ella lo había acusado de violencia doméstica y muchas personas por Twitter se enfocaron en hablar en su contra cuando aún no habían salido pruebas de que eso fuera real, él tenía una carrera impecable en el mundo del cine y gracias a todas esas acusaciones mediáticas perdió muchos contratos y por supuesto su reputación.

Now, what caught my attention in this whole case is many of those people who defended the ex-wife at the time, now since all the evidence came out that it was all a lie, they are canceling it, and then one realizes about how hypocritical people can be on the internet just to look good, or go along with everyone else on the other hand the people who accused Johnny and joined a smear campaign on Twitter right now who won the case took his side and even defended him, I understand that people can change their minds over time but I don't know, I find hypocrisy on the Internet in bad taste, sometimes it works like that, and this case It's been crucial in ending what they call "cancel culture."

Ahora bien, lo que me llamo la atención de todo este caso es muchas de esas personas que defendieron a la ex esposa en su momento ahora ya que salieron todas las pruebas de que todo era una mentira la están cancelando, y ahí uno se da cuenta de lo hipócrita que puede llegar a ser la gente en internet solo con tal de quedar bien, o de seguirle la corriente a todo el mundo por otro lado la gente que acuso a Johnny y se unieron a una campaña de difamación por Twitter, justo ahora que ganó el caso se pusieron de su lado y hasta lo defendieron, entiendo que la gente pueda cambiar de opinión con el paso del tiempo pero no sé, se me hace de mal gusto la hipocresía en Internet a veces funciona así, y este caso a Sido crucial para acabar con eso que llaman la "cultura de la cancelación".

Anyway, I was almost saturated with news about this case that to be honest maybe it could be fixed in a week, but I don't know, I have no idea how justice works in the United States, it was a super media trial and of course on social networks everyone was also talking about it 🙄 it was obvious who was going to win and still they kept thinking about it. No way this is my thinking, it must be very difficult to be a famous and that your private life becomes so media and public that everyone feels the right to comment on you and your decisions.

En fin, estuve casi un siendo saturada con noticias sobre este caso que para ser honesta quizás se pudo arreglar en una semana, pero no sé, no tengo no idea de cómo funciona la justicia en Estados Unidos, fue un juicio súper mediático y por supuesto en redes sociales también todo el mundo estaba hablando de ello 🙄 era obvio quien iba a ganar y aún así seguían dándole vueltas al asunto. No modo este es mi pensar, debe de ser muy difícil ser un famoso y que tu vida privada se vuelva tan mediática y pública que todos sientan el derecho de opinar sobre tí y tus decisiones.
