On the last evenings of every month, when the sea is as calm as a plate of glass window, when no one is watching, you must come visiting and you must never fail in doing that unless you wish to die... The words of the sea Goddess rang in his ear, he was being reminded of his duty once again.

He had never liked visiting the sea to visit the Goddess, aside the part that the place was extremely calm, it had a dangerous path to it, the main reason he always went with a hood to cover himself and sneak through the Bush to visit the Goddess.

His favourite seat was on the stones that marked the number of ancestors he had that have been worshipping the Sea Goddess until it got to his turn. The stones have been there for so long that they began to form a full ground around the sea.

It was the 5th time he was visiting the Sea Goddess and he hadn't expected anything new out of the ordinary he had been seeing. He made the bow as the Goddess had told him to always do whenever he wanted her out of the sea. And he raised his head to watch her come out of the sea as usual.

A beautiful lady on a dark yellow gown with a crown that showed that she had the throne to herself, she would come out of the sea and move her hands to play with the weather before she looks down to him and smile for his obedience. He had always hated her smile as it seem like a sword pointing to his heart. He just wanted to be free from her someday but it felt impossible.

The Sea Goddess laid her hands on him, made her usual incantations and he bowed three times to her presence. Just as he was about to turn around to leave, she stopped him and asked him to look back at her eyes. It had never happened before, he could only hear her smile and give her orders but he had never set eyes on her.

Stories from his ancestors have made him believe that she was an extremely beautiful woman but those who said it didn't live long enough as it was a forbidden thing to say. He knew what he was up for if he looked up towards her face, he begged not to but she insisted.

He looked up with fear in his eyes but with the last drop of confidence he had and he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes on, she wasn't smiling when he looked at her but her beauty was magical and he fell so in love with her immediately. His biggest mistake was falling for her but that was what she wanted and he didn't care less either.

He followed her into the sea, begging to be with her for the rest of his life. She gave an evil smile that melted his heart even more, held his hand and they both disappeared into the sea. He got married to a Sea Goddess and stopped the progression of her existence in his generation.

The Sea Goddess had been searching for one who would visit her up to five times before she allows him to see her face and he passed the test. All the others were either too curious on their first days or too scared to visit the sea, they died. The Sea Goddess loved him more and they lived for a very long time happily, he became immortal like her.

I do. I do love me some fiction. I write, I read. I love it. Let's make blurt a creative space one story at a time. :)

I would hold some contests to spread the creativity around here but I don't have enough followers nor Blurt to share. hahhah

My dear @merit.ahama. I enjoyed reading every bit of your story and it's simply beautiful and amazing, so much that I was almost swallowed up in the sea goddess as she moved with him. Thanks for putting our imagination to its proper place. Cheers dearie.
