What is the Paleo Diet?
The Paleo Diet is a diet that works to replicate what people ate before the agricultural revolution occured roughly 10,000 years ago. The theory is that since we began farming, we have become riddled with chronic illnesses and maladies. Our modern diet lends to chronic illnesses including diabetes, heart disease and other metabolic disorders that were not as prevalanet before we began farming.
How can the Paleo Diet improve your health?
The Paleo Diet can regulate blood sugar, improve digestion and reduce unhealthy weight. Avoiding highly-processed foods can reduce blood sugar and improve chronic inflammation that may lead to further illness.
Consult a physician before changing your diet.
Examples of foods in the Paleo Diet:
Chicken, beef, fish, vegetables, fruit and water. Avoid grains, processed foods and drinks that contain sugar.
