Litchi contains a chemical called methylene psychopropyl glycine MCPG. When it enters the body, the production of sugar in the body is severely reduced. As a result, the body becomes weak. At one stage, especially in children, it can lead to death.
This does not happen when you eat litchi on a full stomach. Apart from this, there is no reason to be afraid even if you eat ripe litchi. The chemical constituents mentioned in ripe litchi are tolerable. Fear only when eating raw litchi and eat it on an empty stomach.
