YP Entertainment has officially announced that TWICE is canceling all promotions during their US tour due to the escalating Covid-19 pandemic. The important announcement was uploaded by the TWICE agency through the official TWICE fan page on Tuesday (15/2/2022). "We thank you very much for your warm welcome as we embark on our US tour.
This is an opportunity to meet our fans who have been waiting patiently there," the statement read.
"We originally planned promotions and various meet-and-greet opportunities. However, due to the severity of the Covid-19 situation, we have decided to cancel all promotions," he continued.
TWICE wants to prioritize the health and safety of all its members. "Because the health of the artist is our number one priority. We must continue touring in the safest way possible," the statement read.
JYP Entertainment and TWICE also apologized for the delay this time. "We apologize and sadly announce this. However, this decision is natural so that the tour will be successful later. We ask for your kind understanding," continued the official statement.
Meanwhile, TWICE was spotted at Incheon International Airport on their way to Los Angeles to kick off their fourth world tour in North America.
The tour is scheduled to begin on February 15 and 16, 2022 at The Forum Los Angeles before moving on to Oakland, Fort Worth, Atlanta, and Belmont Park. TWICE then plans to hold their Japan tour in April 2022, with two shows at the Tokyo Dome.
