I may have solved the cause of my blood pressure crashes during my dialysis session. It may have been my Cinacalcet all the while because Cinacalcet makes the body (the Parathyroid) sense that there is enough Calcium in my blood so it won't pump its hormones so that my bones would not leach-out Calcium unto my bloodstream.
So that is actually the function of Cinacalcet which is to fool my Parathyroid so in turn my blood would get an almost critical level of Calcium in my bloodstream, for my case that is, during dialysis and in turn would make me suffer from a low blood pressure.
What I did yesterday was to not take my dose of Cinacalcet so that my Parathyroid in theory would get some slack and not be blocked from pumping its hormones so that my blood would not get low in Calcium which in recent laboratory tests revealed that I still have a low blood Calcium.
Now dialysis takes some of the Calcium from the blood and that was the trigger for those series of blood pressure crashes all because my blood Calcium level gets so low.
I just hope that I finally solved this years-long blood pressure crashes of mine which plagued me for so many years already and affected my well-being. I had suffered for so long and I am happy that finally I can be able to have a peace of mind regarding my dialysis sessions, that I will be able to finish them without any worries.
This afternoon before my session ends my heart was really pounding so hard. It felt so uncomfortable, I didn't take the attention of my nurses because I wasn't feeling light-headed so I just endured the final minutes of discomfort until my dialysis machine sounded the end of treatment alarm and I just felt better after my blood was returned.
My dialysis nowadays are not as normal as before but I thank God that at least I am getting my needed relief like today where four kilos of fluids was taken from me and I feel like a wilted balloon with still a racing heart to contend with because of the residual effects of the 800 + 100 mg of Caffeine that I take.
But I took some Gabapentin to counter the stimulant effects so right now I feel weird but not uncomfortable anymore thank be to God.
