It was a bad judgement and decision that I had refrained from drinking my energy drink in the first few hours of my dialysis. My reason that I was having it as my drink is firstly I like the taste of it and secondly I needed the boost of energy given by its caffeine and other supposed energy boosters just to make my heart actively pumping so that I could in theory avoid a blood pressure crash.
The problem was I do not have the urge to drink sometimes as I was already stuffed with food prior to going for my treatment. I am also a bit waterlogged so drinking in the first hour is really a chore for me to do if not only for the taste of that energy drink.
But I drank part of it and the other part after we had came home. Then the bad dialysis session also didn't wash away much of the Caffeine capsules that I took prior to my dialysis.
So I am left with a still stimulated brain for that matter. But fortunately I had taken a dose of my Gabapentin that caused me to get some level of relaxation. It was a weird feeling getting intoxicated with caffeine and at the same time having the effect of gabapentin in my brain/system.
So what happened? I did get some sleep but I woke up pretty much so early and I just decided to not sleep anymore. I feel like I want to run but my weak muscles and problematic joints will never let me, it is just in my mind but actually I feel good because I had some sleep but not enough anyways.
The effect of Gabapentin in me is really something that I just needed in times like these where I have to calm my brain down as well as my gut system. The gabapentin also calms down my guts because I seem to have a problem in that part of my body and Gabapentin helps me with it otherwise I will just visit the toilet ever so frequently.
Maybe later this late morning or the whole afternoon I can be able to sleep when the effect of Caffeine in my system winds down and fades away and the effect of Gabapentin to take over more and work continuously as it has a long effect in my body.
