Fact about malaria
✔️Treatable by a medical professional
✔️Transferred by animals or insects
✔️Requires a medical treatment and attention
✔️Lab tests
✔️more than 500 million cases per year over the world
SYMPTONS OF MALARIA VIA IMAGE
HOW IT SPREADS
By animal or insect bites or stings.
By blood products (unclean needles or unscreened blood).
MODE OF TRANSMISSION
Only Anopheles mosquitoes can transmit malaria and they must have been infected through a previous blood meal taken from an infected person. When a mosquito bites an infected person, a small amount of blood is taken in which contains microscopic malaria parasites.
PREVENTION
As recommended by [ WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION ]
Vector control is the main way to prevent and reduce malaria transmission. If coverage of vector control interventions within a specific area is high enough, then a measure of protection will be conferred across the community.
WHO recommends protection for all people at risk of malaria with effective malaria vector control. Two forms of vector control – insecticide-treated mosquito nets and indoor residual spraying – are effective in a wide range of circumstances
diagnosis and treatment
Anti malaria drug
Elimination
Insecticide
Vaccines against malaria
