Most of the products purchased from the market are adulterated. Therefore, when buying ghee, there is a fear that the ghee will be pure or mixed with something adulterated!
Buying adulterated ghee can be a waste of money as well as your health problems. That's why I'm talking about some simple methods; By which you can test whether the ghee is genuine or adulterated while sitting at home.

Adulteration of adulterated ghee
There are home and laboratory methods for detecting adulterated ghee. Only ghee can be known whether it is adulterated or not. However, laboratory tests will be needed to identify what has been adulterated.

Domestic method:
Rub some ghee on your hands. Then sniff. If the smell stops after a while, you will understand that there is adulteration in it. However, it is not known what is mixed in the ghee.
Take a spoonful of ghee on the palm of your hand. If it starts to melt on its own, it is pure. Pure ghee usually melts at body temperature.
Keep heating with a spoonful of ghee. If it melts quickly and turns brown, it is pure. Pure ghee melts in a few seconds. If adulterated, it takes a long time to melt.
Laboratory tests
You can find out about the ingredient mixed with ghee through laboratory tests.

Colter Dye Identification:
5 ml of ghee in a spoon. Add hydrochloric acid. If the ghee is red, you will understand that the ghee has been mixed with Colta dye.

Identification of boiled potatoes:
Add 4-5 drops of iodine to one tablespoon of ghee. If the color of ghee changes to blue, then it is understood that boiled potatoes have been mixed in ghee.
Identification of Dalda
In a bowl mix one tablespoon ghee, hydrochloric acid and a little. If the ghee is light red or reddish brown, then it is understood that Dalda has been mixed in the ghee.
Sesame oil identification :.
100 ml. Take ghee. Add ferfural and hydrochloric acid. Then add alcohol. Wait 10 minutes. If it turns red, you will understand that sesame oil has been mixed.

In herbal and ayurvedic scriptures, many benefits of ghee are mentioned. But it must be pure ghee. Through all these simple methods you can easily identify pure and adulterated ghee.
