This is actually my first time of reading such a lengthy one.
Well I can recall that you and few other Whales supporter me by upvoting my posts after I joined blurt till I was able to amass 20k BP from nothing so I believe you're a good person that cares about smaller accounts.
But on the other hand I don't think you're doing the right thing by leaving. Yes we all know you initiated the Sunday Pub tradition but you must consider that it already have lots of fans and there may be people that don't really post on blurt but only participate via the Pub. I don't think the best decision in the face of misunderstanding and oppositions is to leave.
A number of accounts already leaving or becoming docile on blurt, this is not encouraging to smaller accounts like myself.
I've always had the dream of becoming a whale so I can open communities on subjects that align with my areas of interest but with all these disagreements and Whales leaving I'm already doubting how long blurt will flow before becoming dormant, or maybe the only active accounts will be those working with upvu like in Steemit.
