Looking around a bit

But surely I'm allowed to be against self voting?
I haven't done this for a long time, either on Blurt, Steem or Hive.

I have my habits. Even if it seems like it, I'm not in a "vote gang".

A wise man once said, "self vote, is like masturbating in public".

do you consider it "immoral" to purchase goods from your own store, or pay for meals at your own restaurant ?

No. But I think it's immoral to reward yourself. At the time, I talked about it a lot. I don't look at the monetary aspect of it, but the self-given "likes." I realize that a very large percentage of reviews on Blurt and Hive are made out of gratitude and hope. I noticed this again after my last post on Hive. I can't create good content, unfortunately. I'm aware of that. But people seem to like my content and I know the reason, it's not the content, but there are other motivations that I'm sure you'll know. One reason is gratitude. Another reason may be the hope of a great review. But the most common motivation is taking rewards, which drives the curator to a high rating.
A user sees a self-vote as an investment. I see a self-vote as a caress of my own. - Similar to "Mom says I write good posts, even if others don't appreciate it, then I'll vote myself!" ;)
That's naughty. If the community wants to line its pockets solely through positive reviews, then it doesn't need a platform for bloggers.
But, thank you for your comment.

i don't self-vote

but i don't think we should try and shame people who choose to self-vote

there are several whales on hive, holding hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of hive tokens

who dumped their investment

and left hive completely

after getting targeted and shamed for self-voting

this hurts the entire platform

a few of them have turned to blurt and are willing to give this experiment a chance

let's not make the same mistake that the hive oligarchy made

live and let live

figure out how to use the mute button if you don't want to see their content
