I fancied some squeezed lemon juice after seeing this tree.
The garden center was quite empty of people and the sortiment was very low as we near the end of the winter season.
I would like to plant something like this,
Here were some more fully grown plants. Maybe I will buy smaller ones though and let them grow.
Lots of flowers to buy, but not so much variation.
Should I make a grass edge with this?
This could be a contender for the new drain on my drive.
Signs of Greasy Thursday everywhere.
Hello My Green-Fingered Friends,
It has been a while since my last update. The winter has been quite long and I have not been very active in the garden, but spring is coming and I am starting to plan my garden projects.
To get ready for my projects, I decided to take a trip to the garden center and DIY shop to check for the required plants and materials.
As I arrived at the garden center, there was a large lemon tree at the entrance. Usually, in the springtime, there are many plants ready to buy for planting in your garden for those who don't want to start with seeds. However, it is still too early and everything was quite bare in the garden center, and not much was available to buy yet.
I saw some possible plants that I could use for my new hedge. For these small ones, they were €5 each. After I went outside and everything was still bare. I looked further and found some more possible plants called Smaragd that could be a good choice for my new hedges.
There were many flowers to buy, but I am not interested to buy some flowers yet. If I do buy some, I would need to check which ones would be good to buy. Possibly I could buy some decorative ones, but they might get crushed by playing football in the garden.
Further in my searches, I was looking also for some lawn edges for the borders that I would like to put down. This is one possible candidate, but I was also looking and some individual stones. These are very basic though and I am thinking to look for some smaller ones, but here there was not too much choice.
I was also checking about the drainage pipe needed for a new drain that I want to put at the end of my drive. I found some that were probably longer than I actually need, but I could always cut it down.
As I was leaving, I remembered that it was Greasy Thursday and there were donuts on sale everywhere!
Thanks for reading.
