dCity - Growing My City and Getting Tax Refunds

Hello Play2Earn Gamers!

Welcome to my latest update in the world of dCity! Earning crypto has never been so much fun.. and passive too!

Here you can see my city compared to my last update around 3 weeks ago:

You can see my two huge purple spanners. Those are 2x 100 Workers that I have added to my city.

Some of the recent events happening in my city are that some of my citizens have become students. My current income has dropped further to -16. I purchased many worker citizens at around 82 SIM each to bolster my workforce. I need to now find some work for them as unemployment has now skyrocketed!!

In the rankings, I have moved up nearly 300 places for the population. With income, I am lagging behind in place 942. My share of the reward pool is 131 Hive. I presume this means I should be able to sell my city to someone for at least this amount.

You can see that my total number of NFTs has increased massively from my purchases. I now have 276 and all of them are now active. The last three stats I am thinking to drop as they don't seem so important to track.

An important goal is to get a positive income and have a popularity over 50. This is because then I have a chance to become free citizens.

My current popularity is 175, so this is ok. My current income is -16, so I need to work on this. I have seen there are ways to reduce my tax bill and therefore make my income positive.

It seems lawyers and politicians are the best options to do this. I can also train some of my Students who are in debt for 50 SIM and they could become a qualified something-or-other, depending on the random chance.

It seems on the market, politicians are impossible to buy, no one is selling except at exorbitant prices. Lawyers are available, but the lowest ask price is over 20k SIM. The highest bid price is 8.5k SIM. Very pricey.

A law firm also gives a 10% tax discount, so I have put in a bid for two of them and see if anyone wants to sell.

I have 5 Students in debt, so decide to pay off all 5 of their debt at 50 SIM each and see what citizen I get from that, fingers crossed for a lawyer or politician. A few minutes later, I saw I got at least 1 x Eco Activist and this gave me a -2 tax refund so helped a little bit.

I also tried to unlocked some new technologies in my city.

The effect of this was for me to be in consideration to unlock these technologies and get the card that happens each day.
