Good day Blurtians! Early today, while looking for another blog to share , I found this in our backyard. Asking my mudra what is this kind of fruit...and replied that it is also known as Biasong. According to her its is a native lime that can also be found here and in Bohol .The tree looks like a lemon tree.Had thorns in every branch.Small-flowered papeda or Biasong, is one of the parents of the common lime (Key lime), Citrus aurantiifolia. The fruit is oblong, 5-7cm long and 3-4 in diameter it has a nipple at the apex. The lemon-yellow rind is fairly smooth and exceptionally thick while the juicy, sharp-flavoured flesh consists of 6-8 segments with numerous seeds, flattened with pointed ends.

Though the fruit is not eaten and with little economic importance, its juice is used as a souring agent for kinilaw, or for hair-washing. Biasong's aroma is similar to that of the samuyao variety of micrantha.
Limes are a citrus fruit often used to accent flavors in foods. Limes are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which may improve immunity, support heart health, aid iron absorption, and promote healthy skin.

Limes are a common ingredient in Mexican, Vietnamese, and Thai cuisine. They are grown year-round in tropical climates and are usually smaller and less sour than lemons.

The Tahitian or Persian lime is the most commonly used variety in cooking. Key limes are smaller, rounder, and more acidic than Tahitian limes, and they are known for their use in Key Lime pie, a classic dessert.

Citrus fruits are known not only for their high vitamin C content but also for their refreshing fragrance. The citric acid present in these fruits kills bacteria and other pathogens present on the skin, making your skin feel fresh and clean. They occupy a special space in aromatherapy because of their fragrance. When it comes to skin health, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is right on top of the list of nutrients that you need to keep your skin looking young. Ascorbic acid is essential because it helps regenerate collagen, which maintains the elasticity of your skin. The consumption of citrus fruits becomes even more important here because not only does the amount of collagen reduce in our skin with aging but also because our body cannot naturally produce it . Exfoliate Your Skin
Grossed out by your clogged pores and all the dead skin on your face? Then, citrus
peels are here to your rescue! The coarse peel of this citrus fruit is filled with vitamin C, which is a great exfoliating and cleansing agent. It clears all old, dead skin cells and shrinks pores to leave your skin looking clear and glowing
